Fresh, Seasonal Food

At The Garden Kitchen, we serve freshly prepared breakfasts, lunches, homemade cakes and Fairtrade coffee from our kitchen at Bewdley Museum.

We use local ingredients and independent suppliers wherever possible, with the menu changing through the year to reflect the season, availability and what Sarah has been making.

All of our café seating is outdoors in the Sawyard courtyard, with covered seating beneath our marquee as well as open-air tables. You can find out more about the setting and how service works around the museum and gardens on our Our Venue page.

What’s on the Menu?

Breakfast is served until 11:45am, with everything from toast and teacakes to cooked breakfasts. You can read more on our breakfast in Bewdley page.

Lunch is served from 12pm, with sandwiches, baguettes, jacket potatoes, soup and other freshly prepared dishes, alongside changing specials on the board in the café. Our Lighter Bites menu offers smaller portions for children and anyone who prefers something less substantial.

Our cake selection changes regularly depending on what has been baked that day. You will usually find a mixture of familiar favourites and seasonal bakes, and whole cakes can also be ordered for special occasions. Find out more about our cakes.

We also serve freshly ground Fairtrade coffee, teas, hot chocolate, soft drinks and a small selection of locally produced beer and cider. You can read more about our coffee and hot drinks.

For groups of eight or more, afternoon tea is available by pre-booking.

Allergen Information

We take allergies and intolerances seriously and will always do our best to help you make an informed choice.

Our kitchen is small and handles flour and other allergens throughout the day, so cross-contamination cannot be completely ruled out. If you have an allergy or intolerance, please speak to a member of staff before ordering and read our allergen information.
