At The Garden Kitchen, we serve fresh, locally sourced food made with care. From breakfast to homemade cakes and fair-trade coffee, there’s something for everyone.

Fresh, Seasonal Food

The Garden Kitchen, based within Bewdley Museum serves freshly prepared breakfasts, lunches, homemade cakes and quality coffee. Everything is made on-site each day and served in the peaceful surroundings of Bewdley Museum and Jubilee Gardens.

What’s on the Menu?

Start your day with one of our freshly made breakfasts, from toast and teacakes to a full English, served daily until 11:45am.

From 12:00, we serve a full lunch menu including soups, sandwiches, baguettes, quiches, jacket potatoes and a weekly selection of hot specials, written up on the board in the café. If you’re after a smaller portion, our Lighter Bites menu is ideal for children or those who prefer a lighter meal.

We bake all of our cakes on-site. Alongside regular favourites like Victoria sponge, vegan lemon drizzle and bread pudding, there’s always something different in the chiller depending on what Sarah’s made that day.

We also serve a full range of freshly ground, fair-trade coffee, as well as teas, soft drinks and locally brewed beer and cider.

If you’re planning something special, we offer afternoon teas for groups of 8 or more, available by pre-booking. Perfect for birthdays, meet-ups or group celebrations in a relaxed, private setting.

    Two slices of bacon, a pork sausage, beans, an egg, toast, and one hash brown. Add a breakfast tea or filter coffee for £2.00.
  • The Garden Kitchen Vegan Breakfast – £9.00
    Two vegan sausages, tomatoes, beans, two hash browns, mushrooms, and toast. Add a breakfast tea or filter coffee for £2.00.

Children's Breakfast

  • 1 slice of toast, beans, and sausage, or vegan sausage – £3.50

Extra Portions

Add an extra portion of cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, or an egg to any breakfast dish – £1.25

Garden Kitchen Hot Lunches

  • Jacket Potatoes and Rice – £9.50
    Served with a jacket potato or rice, a side salad and homemade coleslaw. Choose from homemade chilli, homemade vegan chilli, garlic mushrooms, vegan coronation chickpea, or the curry of the day, with a vegan option available. Add an extra topping of beans, cheese, or homemade coleslaw for £1.50.
  • Lighter Bites Jacket Potato – £6.00
    A small jacket potato with a small portion of your choice of cheese, beans, tuna, or homemade coleslaw.
  • Samosa, gluten free and vegan – £8.00
    A handmade samosa served with salad and homemade coleslaw.
  • Garden Kitchen Soup of the Day – £7.50
    A bowl of our freshly homemade soup of the day, served with bread and butter. Served with a homemade cheese scone and butter for £8.50, or with a sandwich from our Lighter Bites menu for £11.00.
  • Cup of Garden Kitchen Soup – £3.50
    A tea-cup of our freshly made soup of the day. Add a slice of thickly cut bread and butter for £1.50.

Sides and Upgrades

  • Add a whole avocado to any dish or salad – £2.00
  • Have your sandwich or baguette toasted – £0.75

    Choose a sandwich filling from our Lighter Bites sandwiches, and enjoy it with an apple or banana, a small cake bar, a small bag of crisps, and a juice carton.

We offer a selection of freshly baked homemade cakes and seasonal treats in our chiller. Whole cakes can be ordered for special occasions, just ask a member of staff.
