With events at St Anne’s Church and Jubilee Gardens, the day will offer information, activities, and a welcoming environment for all. The Garden Kitchen is proud to support this special event.

Join Us for Bewdley’s First Dementia Awareness Day – A Day for Everyone!

On 10 August 2025, Bewdley will come together for its first-ever Dementia Awareness Day—a special event filled with fun, friendship, and community spirit. Whether you have a personal connection to dementia or simply want to enjoy a great day out, everyone is welcome!

Organised by the Bewdley Dementia Support Group, this event is all about raising awareness, supporting those affected, and making Bewdley a truly dementia-friendly town. With activities for all ages, from live entertainment to games and competitions, it’s set to be a wonderful day.

What’s Happening on the Day?

The event will take place across the town, starting at 9:30 AM and running throughout the afternoon. There’s plenty for families, friends, and neighbours to enjoy:

  • 📍 St Anne’s Church (9:30 AM) – A special service dedicated to dementia awareness.
  • 📍 Load Street Businesses – Local shops and businesses will be taking part to show their support.
  • 📍 Jubilee Gardens (12:00 – 4:00 PM) – A family-friendly afternoon packed with activities:
    • 🎭 Live music & entertainment
    • ♟ Chess competitions for all ages
    • 🎨 Face painting for the little ones
    • 🎟 Raffle prizes to be won
    • 🍰 Afternoon tea & refreshments
    • 🛍 Local businesses supporting the day
    • ✨ More surprises to be announced!
